Service to humanity is not simply a responsibility for me — it is the purpose of my life.
More than 35 years ago, while traveling through the tribal and remote regions of Rajasthan, India, I witnessed heartbreaking realities that changed my life forever. I saw children sleeping hungry on roadsides, mentally challenged children abandoned by their own families, elderly people left alone without care, and vulnerable women struggling to survive without safety or support.
Many of these children had no home, no education, no medical care, and no one to even hold their hand. Some could not speak. Some could not walk. Some had been rejected by society because of their disabilities or circumstances. Their pain deeply touched my heart and inspired the beginning of Muskan Sansthan in 1992.
What started as a small effort to help a few helpless children slowly became a lifelong humanitarian mission dedicated to protecting and caring for the most vulnerable members of society.
Over the years, Muskan Sansthan has grown into a family for hundreds of children, women, elderly individuals, and persons with disabilities. Today, we provide shelter, food, healthcare, education, rehabilitation, emotional support, vocational training, and daily care to those who have nowhere else to go.
For many of these children, Muskan is not just an organization — it is their only home.

Many of the children living with us are mentally challenged, abandoned, orphaned, or differently-abled. Some were found on roadsides, railway stations, hospitals, or public places with nobody willing to care for them. When they arrive at Muskan, they come frightened, weak, and emotionally broken. But slowly, through love, care, medical support, education, and compassion, they begin smiling again.
Seeing a child smile after years of suffering is the greatest reward of this mission.
However, caring for hundreds of vulnerable lives every single day is a tremendous responsibility. Providing nutritious meals, medicines, rehabilitation, education, staff support, shelter maintenance, and emergency medical care requires continuous support and resources.
Friends of Muskan Sansthan USA Inc. was established to extend this mission internationally and allow compassionate people in the United States to become part of this journey of humanity, dignity, and hope. Through this organization, supporters across the world can directly contribute to the welfare and protection of children and families who desperately need care and support.
